ID this growth please

I have something that is growing on my rock and has been for some time. The growth is very slow and i am just wondering what it could be.

Although it's really tough to tell with the blurry pic, it looks kinda like a little Favia Brain coral. It's only a random guess but it does resemble one. Here's a pic of one....

I think it's a sponge of some type

I have a favia and it does resemble one on a much smaller scale. a sponge seems likely as well. I will try and get a better pic

What type of live rock do you have?

Is it hard or soft? Looks like a sponge... but it could be anything .
