Are these "Jebao" some sort of chinese knock off for Jebo? Anyone heard of this product?

Maybe but Jebao.com seems to be a chinese site.

I also found horror stories about jebo products. Not sure which is the real thing. Probably best to avoid both?????

They are all the same, Jebo, odyssea, Jebao, as well as catalina. As for there pumps, i've never had a problem with them and they have all worked well....skimmers adn lights, thats different

So you're saying that Jebo/Odyssea are the same as Catalina??? Really???

I don't use any of the above mentioned products, but AFAIK, Catalina has a warehouse here in Sacramento, and I think thats where the whole business is based out of. I'm sure they import things and put their name on them, but you're saying they import Jebo products and put their name on those?

Once again, I don't use any of the brands. I'm just curious.

I'm just assuming catalina is the same as jebo, i'd like for someone to clarify if they know for sure. All i know is that they are identical in comparison and similar in prices. The pumps and lights are the same, so i just figured they were the same. And it seems like the jebo, odyssea, and catalina suppliers were in CA.
