OK, I have researched alot of the chillers on the market, and the coralife aqua-chill seems to have the features I am looking for at the price I can afford. What are everybody's experiences with these? I only want to bring my tank temp down 3-7 degrees from its max operating temperature, would a 1/10 HP do alright with a 75 gallon? I mainly just want your experiences.

No, It won't work.
1/10 hp Coralife is to small (Max rating for that chiller is 55gal)
You need at least a 1/6hp (rated up to 90gal)
1/4hp would be your best bet, maybe someone has a used one you could pick up pretty cheap ;)

PM sent...
let me know, It will probably go fast.
Back on topic- Don't go with anything less than 1/6hp.

I totally disagree...completely depent on your tempature swing...if you are in Alaska then it would no be advisable...if you are in a warm winter enviroment a 1/10 hp would be fine...I run a 1/10 in San Diego...

Mississippi- hot & humid, just like FL
Couldn't imagine having a reef tank in Alaska, that's got to be expensive to keep the temperature up in the winter.
The 1/10 is rated for a 55gal-*max*
I've learned that you never go with a MFG. max rating, unless you want it to run 24/7.

Very hot and humid. My tank generally runs at 85 F! I just want to bring it to 82 F maybe for a summer temp down to maybe 76 F in the winter. Didn't know this thread was still alive, I'm gonna check my messages.
