Im using a MAxi-Jet 900 to feed this skimmer on a 180 gallon tank. Im thinking I may need a bit more flow into the filter. All in all its probably 1x the volume of the system into the skimmer per hour. Do you think increasing the flow into the skimmer will increase the amount of skimmate?

I have my 110-f2000 gravity fed, and noticed that when I increased the flow the skimmer worked a lot better. I would increase the flow.

of course, if you gravity feed from the overflow, this will get you the best performance. for 180g tank, i would get the rate up closer to 225-250gph, mj1200 should do it if you're getting only 1x on the mj900
