Berlin Turbo protein skimmers.

Does anyone find them good? I hear different from everyone. I going to get one to upgrade from a seaclone and im not going crazy big on corals, a little bit more on fish. Are therre any mods for the Berlin? How come people on the forums dispise them and all the locals here use them and love them?

they were GREAT 10+ years ago...

today there are needlewheel skimmers which skim better & require almost zero maintenance.

The berlins do skim especially with a large pump. However the venture gets clogged every 3 or so weeks....... at least mine did :(

so the difference between venturi and needlewheel is maintenance?
