Soft Water

Can I use water that passes through a water softener, then through my RO/DI unit? I have heard not to use soften water for saltwater use.

An RO after the softener is a fine way to go, and is what most RO/DI manufacturers recommend. You would never use a softener after and RO/DI, but you might t-off the water before the softener.

I have RO/DI after my water softener and my TDS is undetectable/0. I have not tried and will never try to t-off the water before softener-"If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"
