Flow Restriction

I have a problem with micro bubbles in my display. I think that its a problem of to much flow thru my sump. Can anyone let me know if I install a ball valve on my pump to adjust the flow rate, should it be on the inlet or the outlet?:mad2:
This micro bubble problem seems to be a pain for the world! I have been reading threads for days about this problem. I think that my problem seems to be the flow.

Ball valve goes on the output side.

Correct never restrict the suction side of a pump.
