Your right. My brother has one and it hides during the day and comes out at night. Most web sites say it is not reef safe but the one my brother has does not bother anything.

They're fine with corals, but they can eat shrimp, crabs, and, more commonly, small fish. Many people have lost schools of chromis to their comet (marine betta).
