Wondering what the zoanthid-looking polyp next to the mushroom is. It seems to be killing the mushroom tissue that's next to it.

Kinda hard to tell from that pic. Have you checked out Zoaid.com?

Looks almost like a rock anemone.

Huh, had a pic on another forum I was going to link to where it looked just like that, but can't find that thread now. How odd. Try to mess with it, if you do, does it retreat into a hole, or scrunch up into a little tube?

Doesn't look like the rock anemones. When molested, it closes up into a little ball, similar to other zoanthids in my tank.

I guess it's a solitary zoanthid of some sort. I've noticed it moves around a lot... sometimes I will find it in a completely different place after it's stayed put for a while. Is this normal Zoanthid behavior?

haha, zoa's can't move. So it must be an anemone.

I pulled the trigger and fed it some Joe's Juice. Thanks for the advice!
