In one of Sanjay Joshi's articles (http://www.personal.psu.edu/sbj4/aquarium/articles/Photosynthesis.htm) he mentions that, "As a frame of reference, the amount of surface light on a coral reef is around 2000 µE/m2/sec, while that from a 175-watt metal halide bulb is about 200 µE/m2/sec." Does anyone have any similar numbers from power compacts? I realize that these numbers very greatly depending on lamp but a ballpark number would be great for any bulb.
