what makes a fish die??

had a copperband and he eating very well for the first 3 to 4 weeks and the last two days he has been hiding in the back of the tank.. I knew there was something wrong and tonight I found him dead... I'm done with CB's!!! water was tested today and it was fine.. you think it was a poisoned fish when it was cached.

There are many variables as to why your fish died. How it was collected, shipped, then held until you took him home. It's not easy on the fish for sure .When you buy sensitive fish like a Copperbanded you should anticipate this. Copperbanded Butterfly Fish are a difficult fish to keep, but if your able to get them acclimated they can thrive. A easier butterfly is the Hawiaan Longnose. Sorry for your loss, we've all been there.
