sir what kind of lighting are you using

3x9w pc's. The one furthest back is the stock light that comes with the jbj pico.

Then i added a coralife aqualight 2x9w fixture (obviously the bigger one in the front :) ).

Then i took the actinic bulb out of the coralife one, put it in the jbj one, and put the 50/50 that was in the jbj one into the coralife.

This way i have the option to run actinics only when i want, you know?

ya i'll have to get a front pic of the tank next time i'm over there (not at my house, but i still run it for the most part).

If you get a 2.5, i THINK this light fits the top perfect, but i may be wrong. Personally i'd just go w/a 10

avalanche, i got the lighting from my lfs for only 28, so i'd think you could find it online for a bit cheaper...maybe around 25. Normally in stores its like 45 and online is way cheaper but idk...i guess it was on sale :)

heres a pic of the whole tank (finally)

I like your rock more than mine. Plus mine is in that stage where it turns all green before it gets purple.

And you should put a full actinic bulb in that light that came with the tank. Otherwise that 65K bulb will make the tank look really yellow. I put a coralife actinic in my stock light.

so getting that stand alone light is a bad idea? the website says "its got full spectrum lighting" so i didnt think it would make it look yellow at all

heres my 2 gallon tank I built a overflow out of 3" pvc, My aqua clear 20 filter drains the overflow and flows into the tank. This is an old pic I also put together a light I bought from big lots thats a 26watt 6500 k and I also added a 9 watt attinic bulb to it hope you enjoy!
