View Full Version : new sump, 1/4 gap????

i just finished getting the baffles inside my diy sump and 2 of them were cut wrong so there off 1/4" on one side. is there any kind of reef safe caulk or anything that i can use to fill the gap?? weldon #16 is to thin.
AGA brand and Perfecto brand aquarium silicone sealants are available from both Petco and Petsmart. Avoid sealants with mildewcides and other antibiotic additives.

Won't look quite as good but I would consider either cutting a new baffle or, if you aren't prepared for that, cut a stip of plexi the same height as the baffle and about 1" wide. Glue it to the baffle, overlapping 3/4" and then glue the baffle on one side and the strip on the other side to the sump. It will be stronger.
