It is definitely a sw fish. I've seen one once, if I remember right they get fairly large but I really don't know a whole lot about them.

They will eat anything else that is in the tank.

ClamIAm - what color Leaffish do you have? I have a scorpionfish tank with a yellow and red/brown marbled.

Is there anymore info on them? I figured with that mouth and their name they would eat about anything, lol.

Well, there is a group of fish usually called flatheads and crocodilefish are a part of this group. The fish usually referred to as crocodilefish are around 2ft in length, need at least 135 gallons, and will eat anything that fits in their mouth. The need open areas so you wouldn't want much live rock. They often buries themselves in the substrate and are not very active. They will probably need live foods and converting to frozen can be hard.

There are some in the same family of fishes called flatheads that are smaller. Check out Michaels' Reef Fishes Vol. 1.

Basically, unless you want a big tank to house just one fish, it is a waste. Of course, I am hoping to have a black stonefish tank at some point. This is known as the pot calling the kettle black. ; )

An online store here has one in a holding tank, in IN. Its pretty wild looking and 12"-14" long. He told my son not to put his hand in the tank..and they are obviously a one fish only tank. Here's there website. http://www.extremeaquarium.com/ shoot them an email if you want, there cool guys.

Ditto on the info above.
They are commonly called flatheads or crocodile fish. You don't see them too commonly in home aquariums, but occasionaly I've seen them for sale at online retailers. Most croc fish get fairly large, stay buried under the substrate, so their not big sellers.
As Lee mentions above they are fish eaters, and essentially ambush food that passes over head, they require large rock free areas of small light sand substrate, so plan accordingly if you find one. They aren't expensive, nor rare, just a fish that doesn't attract alot o attention and hence isn't considr typical or showy
