I read somewhere that someone had bought a cheap clip-on utility light from Home Depot and a new 5600K PC reflector bulb and had been using it with great results. I seem to remember he claimed a cost of less than $15.00. I just bought a coralife mini aqualight (around $29.00) from Marine Depot. It has one 9W actinic and one 9W 10000K fluorescent bulbs. It was recommended by the manufacturer of my refugium/sump Trigger Systems and they have set up the refugim to accomodate it. Waiting for it to arrive.

the lower the K the better the groth of you macro
i use 1-9watt 5K bulb total cost was around $15.00
The cheap spiral compact fluorescent light that was mentioned can be found on this webpage: http://www.melevsreef.com/fuge_bulb.html. I believe that it is available at Home Depot or Lowes.
I prefer rectangular fixtures that sit atop a glass or acrylic refugium cover. I have a Jalli 10-3/4” long fixture with a 13-watt PC lamp from: http://www.customaquatic.com/customaquatic/subsubcategorypage.asp?subcatindexid=lt-pc-15.
Other short refugium lights are available from:
