I'm changing out 250W 14K Phoenix bulbs to XM 10K bulbs and was wondering if I should acclimate the corals with either a screen or reduced lighting schedule.

I think the PAR difference is 88 for the Phoenix to 109 for the XM.

I just popped these in and every SPS is extending more. I still think I will acclimate by reducing my lightin cycle.

I would definetly acclimate your tank slowly. I switched from a 1 year old 14K to new 10k and did not acclimate correctly, I bleached all my softies/LPS, and killed the leathers and monti's. I didnt have any acros in that tank.

I recently switched to 10K from 15K and acclimated using the screen method and lowered my photoperiod. It worked fine, and had no losses/bleaching whatsoever.
