It looks like I am in the very early stages of a bryopsis outbreak. I am not sure which particular species this is but I have a few small dime size patchs of wirey green algae that is next to impossible to pull out of the rock. Honestly this is my first go around with this particular type so I am at a bit of a loss.

So far, PO4 & Nitrates are zero. I suspect my refugium was actually contributing nutrients as I had a lot of rock/detritus buildup in there. I stirred things up by cleaning it out which hasn't helped. I am planning to utilize nutrient export via macroalgae and ferric oxide phosphate binders. I have read confliting reports about using rabbitfish (siganus_doliatus) and UV sterilizers. Any suggestions of what has worked for you?
