need help on a oceanic 175 canopy

they make a 175 gallon reef ready tank and place canopy that does not flip open or only holds lights on back half. then you would have to remove the canopy to work on the lights...any one have an idea how to fix this

A pic would sure help. Hard to say what I would do without one:) I personally would make one that matches the stand, but given the price of the canopy, it may be worth trying to modify it...
