my son bought me a beautiful Hypselodoris bullockii for my birthday. I don't think is reef safe although the guy at the LFS told him it was. Arn't they a coral eater? Arn't they poisionious?

if it does, your in the green, buuuut let me tell you what Ive heard about them...
The main thing Ive heard is that they only eat a spacific type of sponge... and even if you had a way to purchase that sponge, it wouldnt be worth the money cause they eat it like no tommorow...
I would'nt expect for it to live a verry long time...
they are however, quite beautiful...
but, like i said, I only heard that, so I dont know for shure..
about the stinging: I have no idea...

Nudibranchs have very specific diets. I don't know what that one eats, but it is poisonous and it will starve fairly quickly. They are reported to be sponge eaters.

They're poisonous if eaten, but they won't nuke a tank when they die. They feed on sponges in the genus Euryspongia. Your best bet, but still a longshot on feeding is to try frozen angelfish food that contains sponge.
