DIY Skimmers

Does anyone have any good links. I have 3 DIY skimmer plans so far, but looking for a couple more so can have a better idea to make my own plan. I'm looking for cheap any easy (this is my first DIY skimmer attempt).

Also, anyone know if a jigsaw can safely cut through PVC?

A jig saw would cut through PVC just fine. Even better with an appropriate blade on it. If this cut will be a 'sealing surface' you might want to dwell on how you could go about making a much more precise and accurate cut. You want a sealing surface to be flat and smooth (no rough edges).

Of all the designs you'll find, I'm sure you'll be able to pick the best ideas of them all to make an entirely new one.
