I've got a couple of these laying around that are broken. One of them is a Won Bros Pro Heat II with digital temp control. Anyone know what goes bad on these things? It still turns on but the temp displayed is not accurate. Sometimes the heater will constantly click on and off. Was just curious if any electronics gurus out there have replaced parts on these.

It is not worth the trouble or risk to your tank. Get a good temp controller (RANCO or similar) and use that to regulate the tank temperature. I suggest splitting the heaters into 3-4 smaller units for redundancy.

that's what I figured Bean, just hoping someone like you would chime in. I would have it on a contoller but the stupid thing won't work becuase the built in temp controller is shot. I bet there is some way to bypass that somehow.
