I'm looking to buy a TDS meter. Just wondering which brands people are using and your experiences with them. Is there anything to watch out for? Are some more accurate than others?

HM Digital COM-100, its the most accurate meter on the market. It can be calibrated in three different modes to get extreme low end accuracy.

What the difference (if any) between TDS and EC meters?

TDS is a mathematical way of expressing conductivity. It does not gow down as low as microseimens or megaohms though on the low or Deionized water end. The COM-100 can actually measure about 10x lower than 0 TDS for true semiconductor grade water.
