Most times tiny white bugs are a type of pod, which are good. Without a pic though, it's just a guess.

Agree that they are most likely copepods. I've noticed that their numbers will really grow when a tank is pretty new then fall back down. They are harmless and certain fish will eat them.

My clown is currently trying to decide exactly where she wants to live! She is bouncing between my xenia, GSP, and also TRYING very hard to host my bubble (who is not so happy with this idea). Also have a clown goby who "lives" in my toadstool leather.

The bugs are perfectly normal. I bet when you get the clowns they will like them as well as any goby, or just about any fish for that matter.

Xenia splits to multiply. It will do this often, especially when under appropriate lighting. I keep hoping my clowns gain interest in it, but they don't seem to be interested in my Xenia yet.

Xenia is an awesome starter coral. I have it in my tank. Just be prepared for it to spread pretty fast. I started out with 2 stalks. Now I have 5. It's been 3 weeks. I'm not kidding. And my 2 big stalks are starting to split again. Persoanlly, I think it's cool......right now. Hopefully I'll still feel the same way in 6 months ;)

so yes, plitting Xenia is completely normal and it means that your Xenia is healthy and thriving.
