What would be a perfect pump for this SK5220
http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b98/michaelpeck3434/SK5220_1.jpg
The BarrAquatic web site notes "The SK4220 and SK5220 do best with a stronger pump that can put out at least 800 GPH per Beckett (1600 GPH at 12' head minimum). " from BarrAquatic.com
Please include your experience with the pump, and maybe some pros and cons, heat? noise? cost? etc.
Thanks
Mike

thanks for the reply. Would you still rec this pump if one were to use only one of the two becketts on the skimmer?

you would need an Iwaki md-100 or equivalent for that.
the sequence pump mentioned is a 1725rpm flow pump, not meant for high-head applications.

well, here are the curves for the larger iwaki pumps:

figuring that they spec appx. 27gpm @ 12' MIN, a 100 barely does it.

i'm not sure I understand how the head relates to that chart, or to the variance of one vs. two becketts running on the skimmer ... can anyone clarify?
