I added a sea hare today. He is big, fat, ugly, and I really like him!

He is starting to "mow the lawn" so to speak but I am wondering if anyone has had any luck feeding them other things once the hair algae is all gone. I heard that hey will eat nori.

I will lend him out to friends once he has eaten all my HA, but I really like him and don't want to have to give him back to the store if I can help it. I got him for $20 and my buddy at the LFS said I can bringh him back any time.

Any comments? Any luck with them taking other veg matter?

Thanks a million!

I just bought one a couple of weeks ago and my tank currently has no hair algae. He readily takes nori and caulerpa. He seems to be doing fine with that.

That's good news. Do you just use an elastic and tie it to a rock? I wonder if he'll take cheato?

I had one b4 but it disappeared (MIA) after my hair algae went away.

i work at a lfs here in san diego, and ours take nori if no hair algae is present.

yeah either clip or nori on a pvc in the sand will do, they can go anywhere so if you want to see him eat, put the nori on the glass on a clip.

We just sold our last big fat and ugly the other day.

Have fun with the bugger, they are really intriguing.
