Hi Dan,

The order got finalized two days ago and they said it would take a couple days get the order ready and then a few days to get here. I'm guessing Tuesday or wednesday.

I'm Glad we were able to find the lime locally so the hobby can finally have a cheap source for kalk without having to hunt everywhere.

How many ml per hour does the Kalk / Top off 30RPM pumps?

How many ml per hour does the Kalk / Top off 18RPM pumps?

Also when are the Kalk / Top off 18RPM and 30 RPM pumps going to be available for purchase?

each one will come with four tubing sets you can pop in and out for different flow rates

the 30RPM will be 29, 15, 3.9, 1.1 ML a minute .

and the 18RPM will be 17.5, 9.3, 2.3, 0.66 ML a minute.

here is a ML to gallons calculator .

http://www.metric-conversions.org/volume/milliliters-to-gallons.htm

these will also hopefully be here next week .

Why call it the "Drew's Doser $59" if it cost $100?

because we have one that is $59 , we have a variety of pumps They can't all be the same price : )

It's advertising to show that we have a quality dosing option that is that low.

Prior to this the options were not very big . you had the used/refurbished medical dosers for $200, the cheaper hobby type that has back siphon issues and poor quality tubing and lastly the the litter meter 3 which is a very good solution i would recommend to anyone but costs around $450+ with the extra pump.

This is our attempt at bridging that gap . One of our models is $119 and has a dual head so you only need the one pump for the two part. I don't know if there is another quality solution that is even near that price : )

Got it. I didn't see all of the pump options. I was looking at the title and didn't see a price listed where it says coming soon. I guess I am looking at this pump. (http://www.twopartsolution.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=7_12_13&products_id=29) Can it be shipped with the 3mm tube instead of the 1.5mm tube? It looks like that would give me about 8 liters/day dosing capability which should be plenty for this application and at $79 is a great buy. How would you rate these against the Aquamedic Niveaumat pumps?

I have not used the aqua medic pump personaly so id rather not comment on it. Id check out some threads with other peoples expeiences with it.

Dan I think it comes already with it, he said this a few posts up "each one will come with four tubing sets you can pop in and out for different flow rates"

No, the larger Kalk pump comes with the four different sizes because these are used to replace a wide range of evaporation rates. Some people might evaporate 1/2 a gallon while some might do 10 gallons.

we didn't feel a need to include different tubing sets with the two part doser because the amount dosed in a day doesn't vary as much. Most people will dose 0-200 ML a day.

however you can purchase the other tubing sets for a few bucks.

It looks like that would give me about 8 liters/day dosing capability which should be plenty for this application and at $79 is a great buy.

You are calculating 8 liters if running 24 hours a day. I have talked with the OEM manufacturer and the motor life expectancy is 8000 hours. Neopreme tubing rated at 800hours. Running 24 hours a day would not be advisable as that means it could burn out in 1.3 years and tubing every 33 days. You want to pick a flow rate that you can osc on/off multiple times a day and keep the runtime down to say a few hours total a day to get any decent life out of the pump and the tubing.

For Kalkwasser, I'm planning to use the 29ml a minute so I can keep the runtime under 2 hours a day. Dosing pump life then increases to 10 years.

When using 2 part solution, the pump 5.6ml rated pump is on for much less than an hour so it's a non issue as the pump life is greater than 20years and tubing 2+years.

I agree . If you want to try and run a dosing pump 24/7 id go with the Liter meter three
