OK, I have replaced the temperature sensor and I am still having problems. The temperature swings drastically! During one rotaion of all of the probes, it went from 78.2 to 79.1 and then back to 77.7.

What is going on? Is it the controller, powerbar? What?

These swings are making my chiller and heaters go crazy!

Anyone else having these fluctuations?

Mike

Nope I have never heard of that problem. Since its a new temp probe have you tried plugging it into another port on the power bar? I doubt it could be stray voltage because the Temp probe is insulated.

Yep, tried the other port same thing.

So I know I'm not nuts, when you calibrate the sensor shouldn't the temp somewhat match what you calibrate it to?

What temp value are you trying to calibrate it too? I think it can only read a very narrow band of temps, something like 60 - 93 I am not sure exactly what values are but I know it can't do 98 and it can't go down to zero, so the ice water calibration method wont work.

Ok, I have two coral view thermometers. One reads 77.9 the other 77.7. When I go into calibration, The read value is 78.6, I set the calibration value to 77.9 and nothing changes. The firmware is all up to date.
