I have a 30 gallon M-tank and just recently i noticed my rocks have some brown dust like particles attached to them. During my water changes i siphone some of them out but in a few days they come back again. I read somewhere that my good bacteria, that breaks down all that stuff is of low count but not sure if this is true. Need a few opinions before i buy some additive to help the bacteria spring back to life.

Sounds like it is detritus. Increase your water flow and it will suspend in the water column and get filtered off.

Awesome thanks. also i noticed a boom of tan worms in my live rocks that come out at night. looks like long pieces of strings. Are they feeding of the detritus or is it due to overfeeding of my tank?

sounds like spaghetti worms feeing in the water column. The feed on microscopic phytoplankton in the water.
