I've been trying it out on my 7 gal for the last month. It's noisy, creates microbubbles, and inexplicably stops flowing which requires me to block the air intake so that it can regain suction. It does this regardless of how I have it adjusted and I've tried about every possible way. Over the month I've been rewarded for my efforts with less than a cup of slightly green tea colored skimmate. Could I mod it like a Skilter by putting in an airstone? Maybe, but this probably wouldn't help the microbubble problem. I could use it as an ugly HOB filter, but for the noise. I pulled it off, put in an old Regent HOB with some polyfilter and am now enjoying the bliss of a silent tank.

That pretty much sums it up.

It does look like a Skilter. Guess that's why its only $25.
