I have noticed that my coraline algee is turning white. I think my 250 watt 20K MH bulb is about 10 months old. Is it time to replace the bulb? Or could it be my calcium level?

could be both.....bulbs usually get changed 8~10 months IMO

have you upgraded your lighting at all lately? When I switched to mh's my coralline got pummeled for awhile.

I added some T5s about a month ago. Other than that I haven't changed anything. I had my MH for about 10 months.

It could be the bulbs, but I would start by checking the calcium and alkalinity levels, you might want to check to phosphate levels as well. Are you getting any diatoms or hair algae?
