Nova T5

Hoiw good of a fixture is this? I know it has 4 x 39 and only a single reflector but can individual ones be added inside? Would this be a big improvement from a 130 watt pc? I have shrooms, frogspawn and want nem's as well as more but know want to know if this fixture would be okay.

probably better than the PC, but with different bulbs. I do not think the included bulbs are all that great. There is no room for individual reflectors. A four bulb unit with 2 geissman (sp) middays and 2 actinic plus would provide decent par.

Have you purchased the light yet? I contacted Current-USA about the Nova Extreme unit, and they are supposed to be changing the design to include individual reflectors. I was told the new design should be available around april.

the 4 x 24 tec would be fine for the organisms that you mentioned.

reflectors make t5s 300% better get the Tek
by april the aquatinics 24inch will be out and that wil be much better than the nova
