When to add live sand

I have a 110 gal reef and I just added live rock when do i add live sand and how much

could be just me but.. sand goes beneath the rocks doesnt it...

There is really no need to buy live sand.Save your money buy regular sand and seed it with cup of sand from your LFS or a fellow reefer....And most people do put their rock in first

I agree the live sand is a waste. Add regular sand around the rocks (rocks on sand is highly unstable) and seed from as many tanks as you can. A 1/2 cup from a few other tanks will bring more life than a bag of sand that has been sealed for who knows how long.

Ohhh... and add the sand ASAP and as much is pleasing to you. I am a shallow 1-2" guy, but there are a lot of people that use the DSB 4+ inch method.
