Does a frogspawn prefer to be placed in any type of direction? for instance with its heads facing upward or in a sort of upside down state. Sideways? I would think that the head facing up would be the least stressful but the piece I have some of the heads are heading in different directions, some up some down etc??

They will grow where space and lighting conditions permit, at this point maybe you should frag the ones off that are facing down, thats just my opinion though

I use bone shears for fragging my branching spawns, hammers etc, but it can be done easily enough just by applying pressure at the area you wish to break. Be sure to aggitate the water around the flesh of the coral gently, as to cause the polyps to retract. Handling them when the tissue is extended can casue damage, sometimes severe.
