Hello,

I found some carbon that has been sitting for awhile, a few years. One is not opened still sealed in the package, the other is about half full. I guess what i am asking is if carbon has a shelf life?

THank you

I would think if the carbon was air tight then it would be good. Otherwise if exposed to air it would possibly absorb air polutants. Either way toss the stuff. It's not worth the risk of it releasing something into your water.

Ok, thanks everyone. I was kinda leary with the open one thinking that it could possibly asorb airborn stuff.

Thank you
