Algae paste food

I'm working on an algae paste for my tangs and I'd be interested to hear any one else's experiences. Not so much for the food ingredients, but for the feeding techniques. I'd like to make something like a paste/gel that I could wedge into the rockwork to allow the fish to graze off of it. My previous attempts didn't stick very well and just blew off in the current. Any ideas on something to add that would help bind/gel the mixture?

I'm currently using nori sheets, Formula Two flakes, some Emerald Entree, and garlic oil. I'll probably throw in some selcon or something similar too.

Anyone with good tips for making this kind of paste food work and keeping it in place? Thanks!
