Seems a bit small for a majestic in my opinion... Also, not sure if I'd trust one or a CBB with clam mantles--aren't they known for picking at them?

I've seen a few tanks with majestic angels and clams coexisting peacefully, but I'd probably worry about it, too. What's the max size on a majestic (in captivity)? Aren't they one of the smaller large angels, like 5-6" max?

I thought they were more like 10-12" max but I could be wrong...

They're supposed to be smaller than a Blue Face but not that small...about 10" max I think, although I've never actually seen one that big.

I heard realistically they get about 6" - 8" in captivity. The copper band hopefully should be ok. I can always try a clam and see, if there is a problem, I'll just put the clam in the fuge.
Yes, my tank is a bit small. Perhaps I'll pass on a Majestic.

Personally, I try to pass on all fish that live in large schools. I just feel wrong having one in a tank where in the wild they are in groups of 100's.

Angels don't school in the wild do they? I don't remember ever seeing that, but I haven't been diving since well before I started keeping a marine aquarium, so I may not have been as aware of that stuff...

No idea about them schooling in the wild.

That's what I thought...
Saw in your sig that you're using a Deltec AP600. Me too. I have a 90G tank and 45G sump. My system has been kicking since early January, and so far I'm pretty happy with the Deltec.
What do you think of your deltec?
