they do much better in brighter light, but they can grow perfectly fine in the light that comes with your 24g NC. Is it the standard or Deluxe model?

well what tank are you talking about using this for? You've already got good lights on the NC deluxe, so obviously not that one. But if its a small tank, why not just get one of the coralife mini lights? Those are pretty good imo. I've got one on a 3g pico...its 3x9w pc's and everything is doing great.

mm...the 6g might be too tall for 9 watters, but for just gsp and a few shrooms and stuff it might work.

Its actually 2 seperate lights. I have the 1x9w that came with the JBJ 3g picotope, and then i went and bought a coralife aqualight mini 2x9w fixture for 28 bucks from the lfs. I've seen them more at other stores tho. I'd expect around 40 in stores. But you could probably get 18w pc's and make a retro yourself for cheap. Like around the same price i would think.

Check out hellolights.com and reefgeek.com to see what they got for 18w pc's and to see if they'd even fit your 6g
