View Full Version : Please explain diff between Kalk drip and Calcaim Reactors

I am setting up a DIY kalk "reactor" and I cannot fully comprehend what it does and who it helps. Same for the calcium reactor. Are they totally different or do they attack the same thing?

They are completely different, except they both add calcium and alkalinity to the tank. A kalk reactor stirs calcium hydroxide in freshwater, which produces a calcium and alkalinity supplement. This fresh water typically is dripped into the tank to replace evaporation.
