I have Xenia that has attached the rock and now has started to climb the rock.
It is attached at the bottom and is now attached for about an inch or so up its side as it goes up the rock. I would really like to move this without hurting it.
Any suggestions on how to get this off the rock?

Just pull it off. If u cut it more will grow back. Itll be fine. You can wedge the frag under a rock, superglue it to a new rock or whatever u want

here is what i do:
i put my hands in the tank
make a pinching motion around the stalk - pretty tight because they slime up
and i pull...
rips it right off the rock and i attach it to another rock... usually itll grow back but thats what you are going to get anytime xenia hits any rock... ive stopped trying to keep it from spreading, now i just prune it regularly and sell to a LFS

Pull it away from the rock 1/2 way- slip a nice piece of rubble under the pulled up part, and another over it kind of trapping it. It will attach in as little as a few hours to a day or two. then pull the remainder off the old rock and you can glue the rubble its now attached to wherever.
