Seachem Reef Dip

Is this an effective dip for pre treatment of SPS before I add them to the tank? I've been lucky so far but I want to take the "better safe than sorry" approach so I got this. Any tips for using it?

I've heard people say to use 2 times the recommended dose. Should I do that for this as well?

Any tips or pointers would be awesome.

I would not double the dose. Use as recommended, it's safer that way. I never lost a acro dipped in Seachems reef dip. Just be sure you check for acro eating flatworms and their eggs, usally arounfd the base of the acros.
