EVC 20K, Phoenix 14K and reeflux 10K questions

I'm looking for a bulb with a nice blue tint to it. not too blue though.
Not using any atinics so looking probably for a 20K.

My first choice would be a EVC 20K cause it has the highest par of any 20K bulb because growth is also important to me.

NExt would be a Phoenix 14k. heard it has nice color and also good par.

last would be a reeflux, have i read that the 10K has good blue to it?

Which bulb do you think would give me best color/growth?

wattage is 250 and ballast are HQI and bulbs DE

I haven't tried the others but I've been running the Pheonix 14,000 k's for about two weeks without actinics and I really like the color.

It brings out a lot of color and definitely isn't too blue on IceCap electronic ballasts.

You get the "glow" and the white sand still looks white.

I used to run AB 10,000 K's on the Icecap ballasts with actinics and that gave me great growth. It's been too little time to comment on the growth under the Phoenix.

i dont have either but at my LFS they have 2 Lumenarc pendants and each is running Reeflux 12k with VUE E-ballast and it looks amazing! all the corals in there are incredible! 10k will def have a blutint in it bc these have more blue than my 14k bulbs!! i am ordering my next blub and it is going to be a reeflux 12k fosho!

I run unsupplemented HPoenix w/ HQI ballasts and to me the color is perfect. Most importantly is that the corals look great.

This speaks for itself as far as Evc and phoenix(par is about the same but if you like the blue look, the EVC is very nice). But the best growth will probably be the reeflux 10k

But the EVC you compared is SE.

I only have DE. So, the PAR for EVC DE is only about 14K

Yeah that is weird how they made it like that.

You might want to wait for the result on the reef optics DE, Wes is testing it right now

good thing i saw this thread-i started with phoenix and really liked the bulb-ran great for a full 10 months but when bulb change came i wanted a new look so i tried the reeflux 10k-save your money-this bulb looks great for mogul but was not impressed with the de-i started looking for a 20k bulb and looked at the same charts as you and bought 2 new evc20k-very nice looking but one burnt out early and now they have been outta stock for a while-so now i have reeflux on half and evc on the other half.now looking at the tank the 20k's seem kinda dim
