can someone please give me some help to tune this skimmer. it's got a gate valve mod, water in sump is about 10" high. the water line in the skimmer itself is just at the top of the cylinder seam where it starts to narrow to the neck. with the venturi valve wide open i get foam about half way up the neck but no skimmate. if i dial the valve into about the 2 o'clock position, then i start to get the foam colum high enough to produce. also, i've just installed the new needle wheel as well but the old one seemed to perform better for me. is it possible that my water just isn't that messy and there really isn't anything for it to take out?
