Specifically a yellow tang and a foxface?

Yes, actually I would highly recomend they are fed some marine algae every now and then, to keep them healthy. But, on a side note, 20G is WAY to small for either of those fish, you need atleast a 75g to keep both those fish healthy long term and even that's on the small side.

Ive not found any fish that seems to particularly like chaeto. I had a large sohol tang that would go for it, but he would eat Anything. Ive tried it with a few different foxfaces/rabbits and none were too interested. Yellow tangs picked at it, but didnt tear it apart like they do many other macros. Im guessing its more course than they are used to eating. Mine will eat most other forms of macro though.

My Naso loves Cheato and can demolish a good size ball of it in no time at all.

just mixed the salt in my new 75g...
was thinking of growing some chaeto in my 20g and just tossing it in the tank every weeks,

I used to feed cheato every now and then, but do not any more - I had a big Naso die quite a while ago, and necropsied it and found its gut all bound up with chaeto. A few weeks later I had a big French angel die, and after a little investigation, same reason. Over the years, I have experienced this in a few other fish (mainly tangs and angels). Now for feeding I stick to a few different types of gracilaria, and nori (better safe than sorry I figure).

Best to use the cheato for a nutrient sponge, & then give the excess away or toss it.

Good to know, thanks for sharing that. I don't feed it often but I think I will cut it out of thier diets now. Better safe than sorry.

cheato is very bad for tangs (and fish in general) as ooulophilia mentioned it can have some serious effects in the end. Tangs especially have a very hard time digesting it.
