out of all the different options my clown has he is now hosting in my green star polyps...will this hurt the clown or the GSP?

Could be worse.. He could be hosting in a veggie clip. :)

No, it's fine. At least they picked a coral. Mine host between my bulkhead and I don't like it one bit. :(
