I'm tired of nearly taking the plunge reaching into th bottom of my tank.

Tunze tongs for $35 or aquatongs for $8?

I use the tunze tongs often on my seahorse tank. They work well--clamp well on heavy items, but you have to be careful with them streaming water down your arms when you lift them out. (They are open inside and hold some water)
I've never used the aquatongs.

My Main concern with the tunze is that comment on the marine depot about them locking up frequently. Any problem like this?
Also the cheaper ones seem like they're meant just for lighter objects.

Spartan, I haven't had them 'lock-up'. Iv'e had them for over a year. The handle squeezes together for the grippers to work.

If you plan on using them on heavier items, make sure the items aren't wider than 5 inches--that is what the prongs measure open.
