Thought I'd share some pics with my new Canon Rebel Xti that my husband got me for xmas. I later purchased a 100mm micro lens. These pictures aren't the greatest; I'm still learning how to use it. I have a long way to go before I've mastered this camera. I get overwhelmed by all of the features it has.

The 2nd shot is really good in my opinion. I have a hard time getting blue things such as that to come out. I also have the Xti and same lense.

You know, IBASSFSH, that you are the second person who mentioned having a hard time getting blues to come out blue. Don't ask me how I did it... I just pointed and shot. I can't even remember what setting I had it on. But, you are right it did come out quite colorful. BTW thanks for the compliment.

Baggerhog,

This is a website I used to get familiar with my camera.(See below) I used the tutorial. As for the settings, I think I used the TV(time value) setting. I also used a macro lens, which I purchased in addition to the lens that came with the camera. It really made a difference. I am still learning how to use this camera so I can't really give you much advice. If you really want advice from people who knows, just look here on the photography forum. There are alot of very skilled people who can help. Another place to go is Reef Keeping Magazine and Melev's site. Hope this helps.
