i just put one in my tank, took about ten minutes to fully open. at most it should take a few days to fully expand and such. looks like i got a freak.

It is different with every coral, just luck, I have had leathers adapt in a few hours and I also have one that took 3 1/2 moths to open up.

The majority of the leathers I've had have looked good within the first day or two, then regress for up to 6 weeks before staying open all the time after. I don't worry unless they start melting. Moving and fussing with it just prolongs the process.
