I need water. I have fixed the leaking holes in my new tank and ran plumbing all over the place. Planned and debated on different set ups and now that I'm ready for water I have none.

Wal-mart will not take the hint when the sell out of water time after time and doesn't seem to increase the amount they carry.
My RO unit gives me ~1 gallon every three hours. I am pretty sure now that the reason is that the carbon filter needs to be replaced, but that means either another trip up to TPP or shipping charges.

I need water to get my tanks filled. Right now I need at least 75-80 gallons. I am willing to pay someone for it.

I bought a barebones unit and it was a pain in the butt so I started using a 24gpd unit. I was told I needed to buy a TDS meter so I bought an inline after a lengthy debate online about which type to buy. After I ordered the debate swung in favor for a hand held of course and reading books later confirmed I should have done then. Then I was pressured to buy a DI add on. I'm also now told that I need to buy 1-2 pressure gauges. I can't tell you how much money in add ons to this supposedly money saving machine I've had to buy.

Anyone buying an RO unit buy a nice expensive one to start or FORGET IT.

BTW I did drop by Philip's (PhLipStyLz) and picked up a couple of gallons. Thank's Philip!

Acme, Kmart, Target and Giant all sell it bottled. Purified by reverse osmosis or distilled.

Yeah... But .54 X 80 vs 1.10 X 80. Have you seen any of the places listed anywhere near .54? I've always kept an eye on the prices. Super fresh really made me mad. They took there water and raised the price .20-.30 then put it on sale for the original price. It has stayed at the same price, but now has a sale sticker telling you that your saving money and it has been that way for almost a year now.

I'm just about to spend the money and just buy from one of the grocery stores. Though yesterday when I left the second Walmart a sales associate told me they would probably be getting water in today. When I left Walmart today there was a Walmart tractor trailer pulling in. I waited till 5pm, but I suppose they get there truck pretty late. They may now have water.

Hey Jon,
I baught a complete RODI unit on ebay a few years ago-- it was the Maximus unit-100gpd, dont remember the company, but it was a full ebay business, not just a random unit...
anyway, it cost me $80- came with the unit, 1 set of filters and resin, a TDS, 2g tank, and all the plumbing supplies.... been working no problems since.... dunno if the business is still going( im at work and cant check ebay..), but if it is, I highly reccomend it and would purchase another no questions from the company. they also sell additional filters and resin, baught a case of each for a total of like another $80 and it should last me about 5yrs from what im betting.... so for ~$200 I should have a 5yr supply of clean water....
personally I will never go through the bs of buying bottled again for my tank, not to mention that its great drinking water and for my bonsai-- i dont trust the tap water from newark in any way...

Awesome. If you could let me know the name of the company on ebay when you get home. That sounds like a great deal. Perhaps that would be a good way to spend my tax refund. Does it have pressure gauges on it at all?

I don't think anyone trust the water in Newark. The worst I have ever seen though is in the chemistry labs they use for the undergrads in Newark. The tap water in those rooms is so ugly just by looks. I wonder if they color the water or put stuff in it on purpose to push they point that we need to use the purified water in some of the lab experiments.

OMG, I feel gross. I just tried to clean out some of my buckets... Wait until you see the picture I just took of the water coming out of my shower. I don't think it was this way an hour ago when I took a shower, I think I would have noticed.

The water is back to clear now and for the time being I was able to get some water from Al(a1amap). Thanks again and I like the bar! I can't wait to see it finished. Appreciate the offer Russ, hopefully I will figure out something I can do at home with an RO unit and solve the problem.

Thanks Eric, we will see what I decide on that. Thanks again Al. Everything is really close to getting full here. I need just a little bit more to get things completely running. Well not including two nano tanks and a fuge which I plan to add soon.

OMG thats the water you bathe in?

Check your water temp going through the machine make sure its around 65 degrees that will speed things up.

I just bought the Optima Vision RODI unit from Purely H20 and was having a slow amount of water coming out.. he said change the temp and vioala.

This unit is SUPPPER Sweet by the way, built in dual tds meter... nice!... If i could pee at 60psi i bet i could pee in this thing and get fresh water.
