How close is it to any other coral? Do they decline slowly over time? What are the basic water parameters?

they seem to decline over time, I saw some waste come from it so I know it had to be alive for a while. My water seems to be in perfect shape the urchins and starfish and dragonets are all doing great its just that one coral, anyway I took it out of the tank and it really smelled so it had to have died. RIP!

I just cant get a grip on certain kinds of things I do great with some and others I dont know. I would love to have a tank filled with coral but it seems like a lot of trail and error?

yeah, as much as i try reading posts i find myself lost, as soon as i think i got one part of this hobby down someone ( who has years of experience ) tells me otherwise. It seems all you can do is read books about this stuff, interpret the information your own way, and be prepared to spend lots of money. like as soon as i buy a new skimmer, double the price of my last, i'm told that it's still not good enough, or now there is too much flow, or the sump is wrong, lol. Just got to be determind to one day have that awsome tank, i figure when that time comes i'll finally understand!
