anyone with acrylic repair experience?

evenin' folks.....i got a friend that concerned about a crack in his 140g acrylic tank....the cracks about an inch in diameter from the inside and has not yet cracked all the way through.....apparantly he said it cracked from leaving it in direct sunlight....is there hope for this tank? is there anyone out there that can offer a solution?

I'd check in the DIY forum on this issue. I suspect the crack can be handle easily, although the patch might be ugly. I'd worry about further cracking, if sunlight was really the cause.
